Meet the Founders — A Dream That Crossed an Ocean
Hello! We are Carla and Armando, the founders of Sunset Sailing Algarve.
Our story did not begin in the Algarve. It began with a dream.
Like many people, we once lived busy lives, but deep inside we knew we wanted something different — something that reflected our passion for the sea, freedom and meaningful experiences.
That dream took us all the way to Canada, where we found the boat that would change our lives: a rare Nautitech 475 catamaran.
But buying the boat was only the beginning.
Together, we sailed her across the Atlantic Ocean, facing long days at sea, unforgettable sunrises, star-filled nights and moments that tested our courage and determination.
That incredible journey taught us patience, resilience and a deep respect for the ocean.
When we finally arrived in Faro, we knew we had found the perfect place to begin a new chapter.
That extraordinary voyage became the foundation of everything Sunset Sailing Algarve represents today.
